Dr. Walt Sherwood, Chief Scientist

Dr. Sherwood has over 32 years of polymer design and development experience, with over 20 years of polymer manufacturing and scale-up experience. Dr. Sherwood holds more than 14 U.S. patents covering the development of pre-ceramic polymers and high temperature resins, and pioneered routes to the low-cost, high-yield, ceramic-forming polymers utilized by DioQuest.

Dr. Sherwood has a Ph.D. in Material Science and Engineering and a B.S. in Physics from RPI.

Dr. Mueller is a physical inorganic chemist who studied CO2 activation and fixation for his dissertation. He has been involved in research and regulations for the beneficial reuse of produced water in New Mexico. He brings a unique combination of physical inorganic chemistry, water treatment expertise, and material science skills.

Dr. Mueller has a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Texas A&M, a Post-Doc Fellowship in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Michigan, an MBA from Kelstadt School of Business at DePaul University and a B.A. in Chemistry from Gustavus Adolphus College.

Dr. Brian Mueller, Technology Director

“Our ability to take multiple waste streams and create sustainable, carbon negative materials is a game-changer and will result in large volumes of CO2 being permanently locked away.”
